Park Board meetings take place at noon on the second Thursday of each month at the Park District administrative offices. The meetings are open to the public. Please see our news page to see any changes to the board schedule.

John Stowell was appointed as a Clermont County Park Board member in 2021. John retired from Duke Energy in 2014, after 28 years representing the company's energy and environmental interests, serving in several executive positions. He led Duke's government affairs, energy and environmental policy and international policy. He played significant roles in several important mergers on behalf of Duke Energy. In 1994 he launched one of the electric industry's first sustainability programs, achieving a listing on the Dow Jones World Sustainability Index in the first year.

Upon retirement, he volunteered as a communications director for SonLight Power, a Fairfield-based non-profit that brings fixed solar power to communities in the developing world. He has also seved as the professional advisor to Xavier University's student newspaper, Newswire, since 2016. He writes articles regurlarly for Cincinnati Magazine and for Realm Magazine

John resides in Miami Township and is married to Marlene, with whom he has raised two children, Maria and Stephen. He is originally from Buchanan, Michigan and holds a journalism degree from Michigan State University.

Andrew McAfee serves as the Vice President of the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce, where he plays a key role in advancing the Chamber’s mission of fostering a strong business environment. In this role, Andrew leads the Chamber’s advocacy and public policy efforts, oversees operations and strategic planning, and directs the Chamber Foundation’s Work Readiness Initiative. 

Since joining the Chamber in 2021 as its first Director of Government Affairs, Andrew has worked to ensure the business community has a strong voice in local, state, and federal policymaking. His background in government affairs, advocacy, and politics has made him a trusted resource for Chamber members and local stakeholders alike. 

Prior to his time at the Chamber, Andrew spent 15 years in the political arena in Clermont County, managing multiple local, state, and federal campaigns—including Congressman Brad Wenstrup’s 2018 and 2020 re-election efforts. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, both Clermont College and Main Campus, and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. 

Beyond his Chamber responsibilities, Andrew remains deeply engaged in the community. He serves as a Commissioner for the Clermont County Park District, a Trustee for Clermont Senior Services, a member of the Clermont County Local Emergency Planning Commission, and a Board Member of the Drug Free Coalition of Clermont County. 

When Andrew isn't talking politics, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his husband, Jonathan, and their black Labrador retriever, Charlie. Whether hiking at one of Clermont County’s many parks, reading, or exercising, Andrew values time with family and the local community he calls home. 

Harry Snyder, President and CEO of Great Oaks Career Campuses, has dedicated over two decades to ensuring that youth and adults in Southwest Ohio acquire the competitive skills necessary for economic growth. Recognizing the importance of collaboration between business and education, he has become a prominent advocate for workforce training.

In 2014, the Great Oaks Board of Directors appointed Harry as its fifth President and CEO. He oversees four campuses and provides career-technical training to over 20,000 youth and 15,000 adults from 36 partnering school districts. Great Oaks is one of the largest career-technical school districts in the country, spanning over 2,100 square miles in Southwest Ohio.

Under Harry's leadership, Great Oaks has been named a Cincinnati Enquirer Top Workplace for over eight years. He has been repeatedly recognized as a Cincy Magazine Power 100 recipient and was honored with the 2025 Edward J. Parish Pacesetter Award from the Clermont County Chamber.

Harry continues to hold numerous leadership roles in both professional and community organizations. He currently serves on the Boards of Christ College of Nursing, Christian Benevolent Association, Ohio Association of Career Tech Superintendents, Clermont County Park Board, REDI Cincinnati, CASE Learning, and the UC Clermont Advisory.

Harry holds a Master’s Degree in Vocational Education from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Cincinnati. He received his Superintendent License through the graduate program at Xavier University.

Harry resides outside of Batavia in Clermont County with his wife, Janet. They have two daughters, one son, and three grandchildren.
